Shower Warm-ups

Guests frequently turn on the shower and walk away while the water heats up. The water reaches the correct temperature but continues running even though no one is using it.

Many guests also intentionally run hot water to create steam in the bathroom before entering the shower.

This excess steam increases humidity levels in the bathroom which can lead to mold and mildew growth, higher maintenance costs, and increased energy usage.

Running Toilets

When a flapper or fill valve fails, a toilet can continuously refill the tank.

A running toilet can waste 200–300 gallons of water per day, and severe failures can exceed 1,000 gallons per day depending on water pressure.

The WaterWise ShowerSense™ valve reduces unnecessary hot water use caused by guest behavior.

When a guest turns on the shower and leaves the bathroom while the water heats up, the system detects that there is no motion in the room.

After two minutes without motion, the valve pauses the water flow.

When motion is detected again, the water automatically resumes.

FlushSense™ Toilet Valve

The WaterWise FlushSense™ toilet valve helps prevent excessive water waste caused by running toilets.

When flappers or fill valves fail, toilets can continue refilling indefinitely.

Our valve automatically shuts off the water supply when the bathroom is not occupied.

If a toilet component fails:

The toilet will only attempt to refill for two minutes
The refill will only occur when someone is present in the bathroom

This dramatically reduces the amount of water lost from unnoticed plumbing failures.
